One of the funniest opera I have ever seen. It is a love story with happy ending, what is not so common in opera romantic literature. Cheerful music with beautiful lyrical parts makes from Donizetti´s Elisir d’amore a perfect choice for a romantic evening in two :).
3., Wie würde ich meine Partie in L‘ elisir d‘ amore kurz charakterisieren?
Adina is a smart young woman with diplomas and business career (at least in our staging :). She believes that love is something she does not need at all. When Nemorino is courting her, she just makes fun of him. But later on she realizes how nice person he is and that she actually loves him too…And for me personally…Finally, I sing an opera character that does not die in the last act. 🙂
4., Welche andere Belcanto-Partien habe ich bereits gesungen bzw. welche singe ich aktuell?
I made my stage debut with Donizetti´s opera Lucia di Lammermoor. In that time I really fell in love with belcanto music. During my studies I sang arias from Linda di Chamounix, Don Pasquale, I Capuleti ed i Montecchi, I Puritani and La Sonnambula. Although later on I performed mainly operas by Verdi, Puccini, Gounod,Strauss and others, I would like to profile myself as a belcanto singer in future.
5., Welche Belcanto-Partien werde bzw. möchte ich künftig unbedingt meinem Repertoire hinzufügen?
Donizetti is my preferred composer from the belcanto literature. He had a nose for choosing the right stories for his operas. In particular, I am attracted by his operas about Tudor queens. Anna Bolena is my dream role.
